A one day Regional Koha Library Management Software Training Program for NAAC Compliance was conducted by the institute on Monday 29th July 2024. The program started with paying floral tributes to Dr. S.R. Ranganathan, father of Library Science of India and Dr. Patangraoji Kadam, founder and Chancellor Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune. 45 Librarians and the library staff from Bharati Vidyapeeth and Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Sangli, Satara, Kolhapur and Solapur campus attended the training program. For the inauguaration program Regional Director Bharati Vidyapeeth Dr. H.M. Kadam was the chief guest and Dr. S.V. Pore, Principal, Bharati Vidyapeeth Dr. Patangrao Kadam Mahavidyalay, Sangalwadi was the special invitee for the program. Director Dr. Palllavi Jamsandekar welcomed and felicitated the guests.
The training team comprised of Mr. Chetan Taksale and Mr.Khan from Koha and Bharati Vidyapeeth library coordination team of Pune Mr. S.R. Jadhav, Mr. P.K. Mohite. The program also comprised of celebration of National Library Day which is celebrated in memory of Birthday of Mr. S.R. Ranganathan, the man who gave a lot in Library and Information Science field. Dr. Vandana Salunkhe, librarian, School of Physiotheorapy, Sangli gave speech on Dr. Ranganathan.
For the closing ceremony, Mrs. Dr. R.D. Patil, Librarian, College of Engineering, Kolhapur and Mrs. Jayashri Hatkar, Librarian, Dr. Patangrao Kadam Mahavidyalaya Sangli gave feedback on the program. Later certificates of attendance of the program were given at the hands of Director Dr. Pallavi Jamsandekar and Vice Principal Dr. Pratap Desai. Institute librarian Dr. Santosh Salunkhe was the event coordinator and the anchor for the program. Vice Principal Dr. Pratap Desai gave of vote of thanks.
