Programme Overview

The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) is a four years duration programme and is among the most popular medical courses after MBBS. The objective of the course is to develop doctors who are well versed in dental sciences and surgeries. If one wishes to become a dentist, then first and foremost, they would have to register themselves with the Dental Council of India.

Programme Outcomes

Develop high competence in dentistry - During the period while one is pursuing BDS, the student will develop competence to identify the common problems among children as well students.
Aware about contemporary and advanced developments - Once the students acquire the BDS degree, they will be able to diagnose the problem by applying advanced as well as contemporary methods.
Empathise - keeping in mind the social norms as well as the expectations, one needs to develop strong interpersonal skill and empathise with the patients
