Chandar Kumar is a seasoned commercial photographer with a rich 19-year career in the industry. Began his career at People magazine as an assistant photo editor and celebrity photographer, working with Bollywood stars, TV actors, and sports icons. Gained expertise as a stock photographer in Dubai with Gulf-Images before transitioning to freelancing in Mumbai. Worked with prestigious brands like CEASE-FIRE, Unilever, and PETA, showcasing a diverse portfolio. Chandar Kumar Joined BVSP in 2011, rising to Head of Academics, where he innovated the curriculum to align with industry trends and technologies. As a dedicated Senior Faculty, he actively teaches commercial photography, emphasizing technical skills and soft skills development.
Chandar Kumar Recipient of the Lalit Kala Akademi and Cub Photography of the Year awards in 2002 and 2003.
