Event : National youth day Speech Competition
Objective : To introduce students to the work of Swami Vivekanand, understand the importance of National Youth Day, and the challenges faced by the youth today.
About Event : The National Youth Day 2022 was planned and arranged by Prof. Rikhi Yadav under the able guidance of director Dr. Premasish Roy (BVDU) DMS, Navi Mumbai.
National Youth Day
On the occasion of National Youth Day on 12 January 2023, Bhararti Vidyapeeth Deemed University Department of Management Studies, Navi Mumbai, organized an event on10th January 2023. The purpose of this event was to introduce students to the teachings of Swami Vivekanand, understand the importance of National Youth Day, and the challenges faced by the youth today. The Chief Guest of the event was Swami Devakantyananda from Ramakrishna Mission Khar, who conducted a session on “Leadership, Business and Gen- Z relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s Teachings”, where he explained the impact of Swami Vivekanand’s speech in World Religious Conference at Chicago, which helped in creating a positive image of our country before the world. Then he also gave insights of Swami Vivekananda’s life and how his teachings are relevant to the current global scenario of business, leadership and today’s youth.
The event took off with the warm welcome of the Chief Guest Swami Devakantyananda and Judges for the Speech Competition Dr. Sreenivasan Venkatraman( Dean and principal BVDU Dental College) and Prof, Vaishali Jadhav (Principal BVDU Nursing College). Dr. Premasish Roy(Director BVDU DMS) felicitated the chief guest with the shawl and small memento. Further Dr. Mona Sinha (HOD DMS) and Dr. Deepa Nair(MBA co-ordinator BVDU DMS) felicitated the judges for the event. Then it was time for lighting of the lamp, accompanied by the National Anthem. After which our director Dr. Premasish Roy delivered a small speech about the National youth day, followed then by our judges also delivered their speech. Finally, it was the time for the most awaited session of the morning “Leadership, Business and Gen- Z relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s Teachings” by our own Chief Guest.
After the speech was concluded, it was a short break for the luncheon. Further the program resumed with the opening of speech competition on “Current Global Scenario and the Role of Youth in Nation Building” for which all the participants were eagerly waiting. Participated students delivered their fabulous speech, however it was all up to our judges who they found out to be having a little extra edge over others. Once all the speeches were done, it was a short break for calculation of marks and refreshments. Moving ahead our judges announced the results and distributed the certificates to the winners. Finally, came the time for closing of the event with the vote of thanks, and bidding adieu to everyone with the intension of meeting once again for more such events in future.
