The Office of International Affairs (OIA) at Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) was established in 2004, in alignment with the guidelines provided by the University Grants Commission (UGC) for the internationalization of higher education institutions (HEIs) in India. These guidelines emphasize the importance of fostering global engagement, creating partnerships with international universities, and enhancing the mobility of students and faculty. UGC encourages HEIs to set up offices like the OIA to streamline international admissions, collaborations, and exchanges, promoting India's role as a global education hub.
