The School of Optometry has been constituted under the Faculty of General Surgery and is a part of Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College, Pune. It is presently situated on the ground floor of the Medical College building, Bharati Vidyapeeth, Katraj Dhankawadi Campus, Pune.

Indian Optometric Association has approved BVDUMC School of Optometry and the Bachelor of Clinical Optometry Programme.
