An eye camp was organized at Chaitanya English School by Community eye care foundation (CECF) &Rotary Club of Pune Central in association with Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University (School of Optometry)-Pune on 2nd and 3rd for eye screening of school children’s.
Total patients screened -1452
Normal Patients among the screened are 1233
Total Glasses prescribed -89
Total Patients referred for clinic -61
Total school staff screened-69
A Group of 7 students from Bharati Vidyapeeth (2 from Bachelors in Optometry and 4 from Masters )participated in the camp.

The Camp was successfully completed and the children’s were prescribed with new glasses and some of them were referred to clinic for further eye examination As we observed post covid most of the children’s are newly getting glasses due to more screen time and vigorously rubbing their eyes so the students were advised not to rub their eyes and take mini interval breaks while doing some near work .they were also advised to follow 20-20-20 rule and play under sunlight for at least 2 hours in a day .
