A two-day Eye screening camp on 11th and 12th August, 2023 was organized by Rotary Club of Poona Central in association with Community Eye Care Foundation (Dr. Gogate’s Eye Clinic), Lila Poonawala Foundation and BV(DU) School of Optometry,Pune at Hirkani Vidyalaya, Gawadewadi, Ambegaon, Pune.
Two students, one M. Optom 1st year student and one B. Optom. Internship student of BV (DU) School of Optometry, Pune participated in the camp along with other Optometrists and supporting staff from Dr. Gogate’s Eye Clinic. A total of 1134 patients were screened; 16 and 14 patients were referred for cycloplegic refraction and further evaluation (fundus and squint examination) respectively. 56 spectacle prescriptions were given, and 19 reading glasses were dispensed to the staff.
