Objective of the Program |
Vishakha Guidelines came into existence in 1997 in conclusion to the PIL. that was filed by various NGOs to support Bhanwari Devi. Later in 2013, it was supervised into the act.
Hon Supreme Court of India has made it mandatory for every institute to have a committee for redressal of sexual harassment of women at workplace.
The importance for having this committee at the workplace, its formation, members and functioning.

On the occasion of International Women's Day 2023, School of Physiotherapy, Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune organized an orientation program about the 'Committee against Sexual Harassment of Women at the Workplace'.
Dr. Ruchita Killedar proposed a welcome note in which she spoke about the famous Bhanvari Devi case and the Vishakha Guidelines. Principal Dr. Swati Bhise felicitated guest speaker Adv. Prajakta More.
Advocate Prajakta More gave a detailed insight of Bhanwari Devi case, the Vishakha Guidelines and the 'Sexual Harassment of women at the workplace - Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal Act 2013".
