Anti-ragging sensitization & orientation program was conducted in presence of Chairperson Dr. Swati Bhise and all the committee members. This program was initiated by the student representative under the guidance of coordinator and members of anti-ragging committee. Two student representatives from each batch are taken in ant ragging committee for smooth and comfortable communication between the junior and senior students. Program was taken into action by the student representative of ant ragging committee in following steps:
1.Program was hosted by the Miss Rati Prabhoo.
2.Introduction about the members of anti-ragging committee and their roles and responsibilities was done Mr. Abhishek Kulkarni.
3.Role play to create awareness about ragging prevention was planned by Miss. Soundarya Khanate. First B.P. Th and II B.P. Th students was involved in role play, enacting senior and junior students of college. Students explained how ragging is conducted by seniors and how it demotivates juniors and with the guidance of student representative how the complaint is logged and action taken by the committee was all explained through act in the role play and use of slogans along with posters in the act.
4.Rules and Regulations for ant ragging was explained by Miss. Tejal Waingankar
5.Types of ragging was explained by Mr. Nitin Talekar
6.How to report complaints about ragging was explained by Mr. Ganesh Kumbhare
Next part of the session of the program was process of filling forms was taken in lead by student’s representative in classroom using smart TV for guidance and simultaneously all the form filling was done by the 55 first B.P. Th students successfully.
Impact of Program: Overall the program was great successful with good co-ordination between junior and senior student’s active involvement and team work foster by the student representative was the first step towards ragging free atmosphere in the institute and campus. Program was very well appreciated by the chairperson.
