Activities/Program Details |

Aim - To educate students about the significance of organ donation, fostering awareness, reflection, and advocacy.
- Event - On World Organ Donation Day, BVDU School of Physiotherapy, Pune, organized a series of impactful activities to educate and inspire students about the life-saving importance of organ donation. The event began with the "Organ Donation Day Movie Session," held on 8th August for first-year BPTh students and on 10th August for second and third-year BPTh students. This session effectively raised awareness and prompted reflection on the ethical and emotional aspects of organ donation.

Following the movie screenings, a seminar series titled "Donor Dialogues: A Seminar Series" was conducted on 12th August for all three years. Students formed groups and delivered well-researched presentations on topics such as the donation process, eligible organs, indications, contraindications, and the crucial time frame for initiating donation procedures. These activities not only deepened students' understanding of organ donation but also fostered collaboration, critical thinking, and public speaking skills.

Key takeaway for students - The students essentially learnt the importance of organ donation and their role in promoting awareness regarding the same within the community.
