About us

Department of Economics was established in 1978. Department offers specialized UG programme, PG programme, Ph. D. and Diploma in Banking & Insurance also.

Faculty of the Department is well qualified and experienced. The Department of Economics & Banking designed syllabus taking the changing needs of the day and students in to consideration.

Department of Economics and Banking is one of the major departments in the college. It has made a qualitative contribution at Under Graduate and Post Graduate education in economics since its initiation. Faculty of the department is specialized in International Economics, Development economics and Econometrics. It provides wider scope to the students.

Vision

The Department of Economics & Banking mainly focuses on the in-depth studies and analysis of the Indian Economy, Policy framing and their implementations with issues along with the study of Global Economy. The Department expands its vision to achieve the epitome of teaching, research and guidance Excellency. We understand the increasing need for trained professionals in the sectors like industry, government, research and other sectors; and hence aim at building up an efficient lot of young Researchers and Tutors in the fields of Economics.
