The Department is involved in both teaching and research. The department is recognized Research
center for Ph.D. Since the Department of Chemistry was established, many graduate and
post-graduate students have received gold medals. Alumni of the department hold higher positions
in academic institutions as well as in national and multinational industries. The department
received funding from DST-FIST, UGC and BVDU, Pune. The employment rate of the department is
more than 90%. To create awareness among students on current trends in chemistry as well
as developing interest in the research, department organizes lectures of eminent persons for
students of UG& PG.
