ANDROID workshop 2016
The department of computer Science has organized one day national workshop on ‘Android’ on 12th Feb 2016.Hon. Mr. Atul Limaye Managing Director and Vice-president of Velocity Technology solutions Inc ,Pune has graced the inaugural function as a chief guest and Prin. Dr. K.D. Jadhav was the Chair person. There were total 70 participants present for the national workshop on ANDROID.
In the beginning , Mrs. S.S. Shukla , The Head and Convener of the National Workshop Introduced The Department of computer Science and Presented the Theme of the ANDROID workshop .In her speech , she summarized the journey of the self financed Department of computer science since its inception in the year 1997 at the auspicious hands of Padmabhushan Dr. Vijay Bhatkar.She also specified the earlier workshop topics such as matlab,cloud computing etc.
Mrs. J.S. Ghadge the organizing Secretary Introduced the Chief Guest Mr. Atul Limaye. Mr.Limaye is currently leading the team of 359 members at Velocity Technology solutions Inc ,Pune.The Company Mainly deals with ERP Solutions on Cloud Platform .earlier mr. Limaye worked as Database Administrator at Zensar and Symantec located at pune. she also Introduced the other guest Mr.Vishal jagtap CEO Bitcode Pvt.Ltd. Pune ,who was invited to conduct the workshop on ANDROID . Mr.Vishal Jagtap has Completed his computer engineering degree in 2007 and since then he is working as freelance corporate trainer in ANDROID.Prin. Dr.K.D.Jadhav in his presidential remarks had taken the overview of the success graph of bharatividyapeeth university and yashwantrao mohite college of arts ,science and commerce . Sir, also Congratulated the faculty of the department of computer science for successively arranging seminars and workshops on recent trends in computer science for 10Th consecutive year.Sir has briefed about the various activities conducted in the college to boost the hidden potential among students through co- curricular and extra-curricular activities. Mr.limaye in his keynote speech reviewed the need to learn new technologies as ANDROID as android based mobiles are widely used all over the world. Android is a open source technology and is preferred for Smart phone applications. He appreciated the department of computer science’s efforts for organizing such knowledgeable workshops to keep pace with new technologies. pyramid of cloud computing where how a service is provided as infrastructure , platform or service. He said that the forecast of tomorrow’s computing will be definitely “Cloudy” that is entirely based on cloud computing. He also mentioned that cloud market will reached over USD 3 billion by next year in India alone. urged the students to remain focused , updated in the ever changing technology field. He also discussed his views on recent trends in IT including cloud computing , internet of things , smart and intelligent devices as well as what will be the future technologies .
Mr.limaye also stressed upon various issues such as positive attitude ,positive detachment, the need for ever learning process and time management .
At the end of inaugural function the winners of techtrixs 2015 event were felicitated with trophies The Chief Guest Mr. Atul Limaye congratulated the winners and did the Honor.
Mrs. S.R.Jagtap proposed the vote of thanks and Mrs.Y.V. Bhapkar was the programme Anchor.
In the second half of the day Mr.Vishal Jagtap Conducted the workshop on Android .he explained the ANDROID architecture in detail and also provided hands on experience on ANDROID studio to delegates. He developed two simple apps at the end.
The National Workshop was successfully concluded and Valedictory function was conducted to distribute the certificate of participation to the delegates.Mrs.S.A. Chakote coordinated the Valedictory function
