The Institute of Environment Education and Research, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune (BVIEER), is proud to announce the commencement of its unique 21-day Winter School Level 1 Spatial Thinking for Localisation of Sustainable Development Goals from November 8-28, 2024. This transformative program was inaugurated by Dr. Debapriya Dutta, a distinguished geospatial expert and is sponsored by the National Geospatial Program, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India (DST-NGP).

The Winter School brings together school teachers from across the nation, aiming to revolutionize teaching methods through the integration of spatial thinking. With a focus on the New Geospatial Policy 2022 and the New Education Policy 2020, this initiative explores innovative approaches to education that cut across disciplines. Participants will engage in hands-on learning designed to incorporate spatial thinking into classrooms, fostering a deeper understanding of geospatial concepts and their applications.
