M.Tech Electrical Engineering is a two-year programme that imparts in-depth knowledge of power systems, power electronics, energy storage, and smart grids and provides hands-on experience through projects and internships. The curriculum of this programme has been designed in consultation with academicians and industry experts to meet the specified needs of the industry.

The two-year M.Tech Electrical Engineering programme with a specialization in Power Systems prepares students to monitor and design high-end power systems and equips them with skills to manage power projects at a low cost. The course curriculum focuses on subjects such as conversion, distribution, transmission, and storage and utilization of power.

The candidate should possess B.E./B.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical and Electronics Engineering/ Electrical Engineering [Electrical and Power]/ Power Engineering/ Electrical Engineering[Electronics and Power]/ Electrical and Power Engineering or its equivalent from an AICTE approved institution or AMIE(Electrical Engineering) with valid GATE score.
