Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Yashwantrao Mohite college of Arts, Science and Commerce established in 1978, is one of the oldest flagship institutions of the university. Standing tall with the parent university’s motto, “Social Transformation Through Dynamic Education”, the college has changed the destiny of hundreds of young people. The college has emerged as a center of excellence through its teaching-learning, research, sports, dramatics, and social outreach programs. The NAAC accreditation of A+, the ‘Best NSS Unit Award’ with ‘Best NSS Volunteer Award’ to four students, ‘Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Award’ to twelve students bear witness to the enthusiasm and dedication of faculty members and support staff striving towards holistic development of each student.
The current pandemic has given us an opportunity to think on a global scale and tackle critical issues with courage, perseverance, and empathy. The challenge in this new normal is the renewal of our thought processes and attitudes towards a strong and sustainable future. The Environmental Triathlon for awareness, education, and action on sustainability goals to commemorate the twenty-five golden years of Bharati Vidyapeeth is a strong step in the direction of upholding our social responsibilities.
The goal of social transformation can be achieved by molding our students to become change-makers and it is our endeavor to provide a fertile ground for ideas, innovations, and research in a multi-disciplinary and cosmopolitan ecosystem. Our national and international community of students becomes our strength to celebrate diversity, exchange of ideas and at the same time ensures inclusivity through the teaching-learning activities. The strong foundation of education built by Dr. Patangrao Kadam, Founder Chancellor of Bharati Vidyapeeth is a beacon for our persistent efforts in fostering and nurturing academic excellence, emotional and ethical development, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities of our student community.
We consistently strive to uphold academic integrity, transparency of administrative systems, accountability, and NEP goals to build an open and collaborative work culture which becomes a basis for future development in personal and social spheres. “Social Transformation Through Dynamic Education” remains our vision and goal as we shape the destiny of our students and march towards a sustainable, hopeful, and happy future.
