Mission :

• To impart knowledge and skills in zoological science among students.
• To provide overall training in theoretical and practical zoology to students.
• To develop the approach of the students to concentrate on applied science aspects.
• To bring about an awareness regarding nature and biodiversity.

Objectives:

• To understand the fascinating world of invertebrate and vertebrate animals.
• Gain knowledge about applications of genetics.
• Gain knowledge about animal ethics, animal protection act and its applications.
• To expose students to the field of Life sciences through projects, visits on vermicomposting, beekeeping, sericulture. It will help to create awareness on environment friendly technologies.
• To create environment conservation awareness through field visits.
• To motivate students, conduct seminars, workshops on various topics included in the curriculum.
