Overview:
Department of Zoology of Yashwantrao Mohite College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Pune was established in the year 1978.The science stream of this college comprises of various principle subject which includes zoology as well. The department has well qualified staff. Department follows Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) and ICT based teaching method. The Department of zoology has two well equipped laboratories with different types of teaching aids such as models, specimens, charts, permanent slides, microscopes, and various other equipment. The Department of Zoology established a Zoology student’s club for the better understanding, creating interest and motivating the students. The head and the staff of the department also motivates the students for different project work, curricular and co-curricular activities for their development. Overall the department has a good environment; there is scope for the growth of students.
