I heard about this quote, "Stay hungry, stay foolish", and I learned how to implement it during my engineering at BVDUCOEP, Pune. Throughout the curriculum, I got numerous opportunities to learn and unlearn in academics and extracurricular and eventually, it helped me build the same mindset. I owe my success to my faculty, batchmates, and all the opportunities I got in those four years. PS: The fun and mischief have a special place in my memories.
I started my journey in 2008 with BVU COE Pune to pursue as an IT engineer. Since the time I started my journey I was determined, no matter what I’ll do what is required to be a good engineer, as far as I thought. I met seniors who projected low reputation of the college, however where I am today, I believe it’s not only the college, it’s the overall effort from individual and practice which needs to be done and college will always going to support you. When my college was over, I realized what is the main ingredient, which makes the difference between good engineer and an avg. engineer, it’s the practice and prior knowledge of challenges. Few years back [2017] when I went to college, I found lot of changes done and positivity around, departments have been upgraded and the professors who supported me through. I work at Microsoft and my first degree is from BVU COE which I am proud off.
Course Structure: For budding IT engineers, exposure to multiple tools and programming languages is important and the course structure is designed to facilitate that. Students are trained in concepts of computer programming which forms the stepping stone of their career. Ranging from Data Structure & Algorithms, Advance Web Development to Machine-level programming is part of the curriculum and is being taught by qualified and experienced professors. Alongside theoretical classes, the IT department is well-equipped with computer lab infrastructure for practical hands-on learning. As part of their academics, students have to regularly submit assignments which ensures regular research and learning. A final year project designed for students under the guidance of a professor ensures that students bring together their learning and also inculcate in themselves the art of collaboration.Overall, the curriculum is designed to prepare an engine er best suited for the dynamic demand of the IT industry. ?Placement support: ?Training and Placement cell ensures a successful placement for the eligible candidates by inviting industry leading organization for on campus hiring. Candidates are supported for off-campus drives at different locations/colleges. ?Facilities at college: College is equipped with infrastructure for overall development of the student. Facilities like Library, Reading Hall, Gymnasium, Playground, Hostel etc. is provided within the huge green campus for easier access and stress free education at the college. Every year college organizes Techno-cultural-fest "Bharatiyam", for which the students of IT dept are encouraged to participate and showcase their skill.
My name is Bhanu Chugh Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology from Bharati Vidyapeeth (Demeed to be University) College of Engineering, Pune(2016-2020). I had an amazing experience with undoubtedly the best department of the College The Information Technology Department and want to pen a quick note for the same. The College faculties always pushed me ahead in every aspect whether it was academic or non-academic. The curriculum and the college schedule is enthralling and keeps one outstanding in every field. Talking about the respect I gave to my seniors and the same I got from my juniors is overwhelming. Even after leaving the college journey behind I actively participate in every Alumni (sometimes non-alumni) event upto the fullest to feel the nostalgia. The skills which I learned in college such as Data Structures, SQL and Microprocessors are still getting used in my corporate role. In short with a lot of hustle-bustle and hardwork I managed out a journey from my dream college to my dream job.
My alma mater provided me with the most qualified professors and a learner centric environment. Each moment spent at the campus has been fruitful in transitioning me into a skilled professional. Extra-curricular and cultural activities have helped in grooming my personality and shaping my career. Being a student of IT department at BVP Campus has been a splendid experience for me. The staff, teachers, our HOD, everyone has been instrumental in my journey.
I believe that the circumstances we are born in should not be a determinant of what we can hope to achieve – rather, our achievements should be determined by our education, efforts and perseverance. As a UG student in BE (Infomation?Technology) I was fortunate to develop my curiosity about tech, products, the power of programming & how IT can change?the life of businesses & consumers. I was blessed to have had who guided me to think big, dream & make decisions with courage. Now as a VC backed Tech Entrepreneur I bring all these values & skills as a CEO?@ ExtraaEdge. I highly recommend BVPCOE?Engineering faculties to aspiring students across the globe.
