The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) was established on 27th Sept. 2013 and is one the most Innovative entrepreneurship development cell across the region. EDC is a nonprofit constituent of the BVDUCOEP institute that advances lasting solutions to improve education, promote entrepreneurs, expand economic opportunities and motivate the students to be entrepreneurs.
EDC has industry associates which gives one on one networking and self-employment tips to establish successful entrepreneurs. The association triggers confidence in students to take individual decision and to start their business plans.
It counts the importance of activities closely linked to capacity building by conducting skill development events like hackathon, start up showcase, Technical guest lectures, Industry interactions and panel discussions.
The cell has dedicated Business Development mentors to assist students who come with business ideas and to provide entrepreneurship training. The guidance given by mentors plays an important role to start a venture as they have to check the feasibility of the business.
It has an incubation centre which provides office space & equipment, technology support and seed capital to nurture the upcoming entrepreneurial talents for viable projects. Thus making it more robust and approachable for the individual who has high ambition.
