The National Geospatial Program of the Department of Science and Technology (DST) has launched its geospatial capacity-building initiative for 2024-2025, featuring 32 programs at various institutions across India. This initiative aims to enhance geospatial skills at both basic and advanced levels.
The program commenced with a Coordinators Orientation Workshop held from 14-15 December 2023 at Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University’s Institute of Environment Education and Research (BVIEER), the coordinating agency and PMU for the DST's Geospatial Capacity Building Program. This workshop brought together coordinators from across the country to align on program objectives, methodologies, and strategies for successful implementation.
