"Bappa's Prasad - Culinary Delight by IHMCT Students"

At Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Pune, we proudly present a unique culinary initiative by our dedicated students from the Food Production Department. As we prepare to welcome our beloved Lord Ganesha, our students have curated a special menu titled "Bappa's Prasad," which features traditional and delectable offerings.

This year, our talented students have meticulously crafted the following mouth-watering dishes:

Shahi Rasmalai: A royal dessert, rich with the essence of saffron and cardamom, served in a delicate milk base.
Kela Khobrayache Malpua: A unique twist on the classic Malpua, infused with ripe bananas and coconut, perfect for the festive season.
Nachniche Nipatt: Crispy and healthy finger foods made from nachni (finger millet), offering a deliciously crunchy bite.
Dal Sabudanyache Muthke: A savory delight combining lentils and sabudana, perfect for those fasting during Ganesh Chaturthi.

Our students have captured the essence of tradition while bringing their creative flair to these festive dishes. Each recipe has been prepared with utmost care, ensuring that the flavors and textures honor our cultural heritage while adding a contemporary touch.

JALSA 2024 Cultural Days - Bollywood Day & Traditional Day at BVDU IHMCT

The Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Pune, recently celebrated the much-anticipated "JALSA 2024" Cultural Days, with a special focus on Bollywood Day and Traditional Day. The event was a vibrant celebration of cultural heritage, creativity, and unity, bringing together students, faculty, and staff for a memorable experience.

Bollywood Day: A Tribute to Indian Cinema The festivities kicked off with Bollywood Day, where students paid homage to the grandeur and glamor of Indian cinema. The day was marked by captivating performances, dazzling fashion shows, and entertaining skits that captured the essence of Bollywood. Students took the stage dressed as iconic characters from classic and contemporary films, adding their own flair to the event. The atmosphere was electric, with music, dance, and laughter filling the air, as participants and spectators alike reveled in the magic of Bollywood.

Traditional Day: Celebrating Cultural Diversity Following the glitz of Bollywood Day, Traditional Day brought a deep sense of pride and respect for cultural diversity. Students showcased their rich cultural heritage by adorning traditional attire representing various regions of India. The day was filled with vibrant presentations, folk dances, and cultural displays, allowing everyone to learn about and appreciate the diverse traditions that make up our nation. The event served as a powerful reminder of the unity in diversity that defines India.

A Celebration of Learning and Unity JALSA 2024 was more than just a series of events; it was an enriching experience that allowed students to connect with their roots, share their cultural stories, and celebrate the beauty of diversity. Accommodation club to encourage and educate the students about the scope and possibilities of the department through various activities like interaction with the experts, internal competitions, field visits to top laundry, textile factories, and nurseries etc.

The club aims to develop the understanding Global Food & Beverage Market; its operations among the students. It offers student members a unique opportunity to develop learning experiences outside their classroom and to explore, grow, lead and share hospitality and real world skills.

The objective of the club is to create awareness amongst students about our rich heritage and to lay emphasis on Tangible & Intangible Heritage. The onus of carrying the "परंपरा" ahead lies with the youth of today. This is a call to our youth to help us carry forward our rich and diverse culture and heritage.
