Overview

Interactive Research School for Health Affairs (IRSHA) offers Ph.D. programmes in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Interdisciplinary Sciences and Ayurveda. Admission process is centralized and regularly monitored and reviewed by the university authorities. The curricula for these programmes are designed, developed and revised by the Committee designated by the University.

Objectives

  • To prepare the students for designing and conducting health related research independently and establish the cause of various diseases or complications and provide crucial scientific information to medical professionals. 
  • To develop competency in effective scientific communication among the students. 
  • To inculcate the spirit of 'good and ethical research' in the students.

Outcomes

  • Through investigations and experiments on human tissue and fluid samples, carried out in high-tech laboratories, biomedical researchers contribute to create innovative therapies for disease treatments. 
  • Ph.D. generated so far working in different capacities at different academic/research Institutions.

Admission

  • Ph.D. Entrance exam and aptitude test is held at University level. Students clearing the entrance exam are required to appear to the University.
  • At institute level, periodic presentations of the students are organized for monitoring their progress and corrections, if any, are suggested by expert committee. This process helps students to improve their performance. In addition, students have to submit six-monthly progress reports to the University.
