  • RNAi agent for inhibition of Chikungunya virus: US patent granted (NIV)

Commercialization:     ELISA kit for IgM-anti-HEV to Cadilla (NIV)

  • Developed and/or evaluated several viral and combination vaccines and serology/molecular tests for different viruses, Pathogenesis and epidemiology /molecular epidemiology of several viral diseases.
  • Provided viral hepatitis test services to DCGI, government of India.
  • Several tests standardized at IRSHA/NIBEC were used to evaluate viral vaccines.

Research Experience : 53 years

Executed 21 extramural, international, and national projects.

As a Recognized PhD Guide (Biotechnology, Microbiology), Pune University, >20 students were awarded PhD degrees, and several MSc dissertations.
