Classrooms

Our college has air conditioned smart classrooms and virtual classrooms with integrated two-way audio-video conferencing facilities, lecture capture system, interactive projectors/boards, mobile biometric attendance, free Wi-Fi access, etc. to create a comfortable learning environment.

Laboratories

Our college houses state-of-the-art laboratories including Central Clinical Laboratory, Digital Lab and Simulation Skills Laboratory. These labs have modern equipment to facilitate the diagnosis of patients.

Training Centres

The two health training centres of our medical college have set a benchmark in medical education.

Rural Health Training Centre (RHTC)

Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University Medical College, Pune has established a Rural Health Training Centre (RHTC) at village Lavale, Taluka Mulshi, District Pune. The centre is under the administrative control of the Principal, Bharati Vidyapeeth University Medical College, Pune. It started functioning from 14th March 2008.

RHTC Lavale is 26 kms. from the Medical College, and caters to approximately 49414 population spread over in 13 villages for primary health care services.

The centre has been established with a view of developing it into a model “Rural Field Practice Demonstration Area” for training of undergraduate and postgraduate medical students including medical interns. The state of the art building consists of three floors with built-up area of 2482 Sq. meters.

Urban Health Training Centre (UHTC)

Objectives

The Urban Health Training Centre of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University Medical College, Pune is situated in the heart of the city with adjoining commercial area.
It has good transport facility i.e. easy accessibility from all major areas. Three regional PMC centers were selected for maximum coverage of residential areas, thus avoiding commercial zones. Nine wards covering maximum slum area under these three regional centres are selected.
The three regional centres are:
- Ghole Road
- Tilak Road
- Kasaba Vishrambaugwada
The services are given not only to slum dwellers but also to all class of people in the drainage area.
Total population covered by the centre is approximately 60435.
To provide effective, affordable health care services (curative including specialist services, preventive and promotive) for a defined population with their full participation and in cooperation with agencies functioning in the area
To provide education and training for undergraduate and post graduate medical students, interns and health care personnel.

The overall objective is to provide healthcare that is quality oriented and sensitive to the needs of people.

Auditoriums and Conference Halls

We have two high-quality auditoriums with a seating capacity of 550 and three conference halls that can accommodate a maximum of 450 people. Both the auditoriums and the conference halls are air-conditioned and Wi-Fi enabled.

Library

We have excellent library facilities for our students and faculty. Our Central Library houses large volumes of academic materials comprising 18000 and 150 journals. The spacious reading hall can accommodate a maximum of 300 students. We are equipped with library management software SOUL 2.0. The library service is open 24x7. Aside from our Central Library, we also run a Digital Library.

It has 44 terminals that provide access to a rich collection of online books and journals. We have three online databases - National Knowledge Network, MUHS, and DELNET. We provide our students access to electronic journals on the 2074 – MUHS and 1900 - DELNET portals. We have developed an institutional repository and a proprietary software (E-PASS) is also available.

Hospital

Our medical college has an in-house hospital that provides the highest quality healthcare and world-class services. It also serves as a medical centre committed to providing training to future healthcare providers. It is equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment and other healthcare facilities.

Critical Care Areas

Our critical care areas include the Adult Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. All these units are well-equipped with modern equipment and devices. Their services are available 24x7.

Emergency Medicine Ward

We have a state-of-the-art emergency medicine ward to cater to all emergency situations.

Blood Bank

Our Blood Bank has the provision of blood and blood components at subsidized service charges. It offers round-the-clock door-step collection and door-step delivery of blood and blood components services.

Diagnostic Complex

Our diagnostic complex has a cutting-edge laboratory that is equipped with facilities required for Biochemistry, Pathology, and Microbiology investigations. It ensures the highest quality of lab reports.

Central Sterile Supply Department

We have a dedicated Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) that plays a crucial role in providing quality patient care. It processes and sterilizes surgical instruments and other tools using state-of-the-art equipment.
