About Department

Independent Department of Urology at Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University Medical College, Pune, has been functional since January 2015. It is fully equipped and dedicated to performing all types of Urologic Surgeries including endoscopic and laparoscopic.

 The M.Ch programme was started in 2016 with two seats. Three batches have successfully completed their training and passed M Ch and are successfully doing their individual practice in Urology.

It has a dedicated operation theatre with trained staff and separate male and female urology wards. At present, 6 urologists are working in the department. They are committed to performing complex Genitourinary Surgery. The department also has pre-operative and post-operative areas for patients that are looked after by the trained and courteous nursing staff.

It has been running a successful M.Ch programme since 2016.
 
The Dept has been approved for three seats of M Ch ( Urology) W.E.F. 2021.
 
The Department of Urology has shifted to a new super-specialty building with all departmental outdoor facility on the same floor in one conglomerate.

The department has an experienced teaching faculty with expertise in all the subspecialties.
The department is fully equipped with all the latest urology equipment.
 
We have well-trained technical staff members in the Urology department.
