A number of training programs are conducted on an ongoing basis for undergraduates, postgraduates and nurses. Department was granted permission for conducting DM Critical Care Medicine (2 seats) in 2016 by the competent authorities. In 2022, National Medical Commission increased the number of seats to 6.
During the COVID 19 pandemic, the department of critical care medicine has treated over 2000 critically ill COVID 19 patients. We collaborated with DGHS, Government of Maharashtra and and Johns Hopkins Program for International Education in Gynecology and Obstetrics (JHPIEGO ) to provide acute care training in Covid 19 for more than 500 healthcare professionals working in Dedicated Covid Healthcare Centers (DCHC)
