The University has a research policy that provides impetus to the faculty for conducting research that is interdisciplinary and socially relevant, and to undertake projects in collaboration with institutes and industry. The University has a Research Committee that provides direction in creating an enabling environment for conduct of research. As a proactive mechanism, it provides seed money to its faculty to initiate research work in their respective areas of specialization.
The three self-financed research institutions of the University namely Interactive Research School of Health Affairs (IRSHA), Research and Development Centre in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Applied Chemistry (RDCPSAC) and Yashwantrao Chavan Institute of Social Science Studies and Research (YCISSSR), conduct interdisciplinary and socially relevant research.
