The Department of Physics, Y.M. College, Pune has organized a Guest Lecture on “GLOBAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR SCIENCE GRADUATES” on Tuesday, 26th October, 2021. It was streamed online via YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mxzu3hd39nY&t=3134s and conducted over Zoom platform. More than 1000 participants were present for this lecture.

A live telecast of Aditya L1

It is the first Indian satellite to be orbiting at L1 Point, facing all the time towards the Sun. It will be used to observe the dynamics of solar flares and coronal mass elections from the Sun. The launch date was 02-09-2023. The telecast was arranged in the Dark Room, Physics Department, First Floor. All interesting, enthusiastic students, teaching, non-teaching staff have joined for this remarkable moment. The In-charge Principal of the college Dr. V. A. Rankhambe, HoD, Dept of Physics, Dr. Onkar Gurav were present. Total 22 participants were present.

A live telecast of Chandrayan

The Department of Physics, YM College has organized a live telecast of Chandrayan 3 historic landing on the Moon's surface on 23rd August 2023. The telecast was arranged in the Dark Room, Physics Department, First Floor. All interesting, enthusiastic students, teaching, non-teaching staff have joined for this remarkable moment. The In-charge Principal of the college Dr. V. A. Rankhambe, HoD, Dept of Physics, Dr. Onkar Gurav were present. Total 14 participants were present.

Guest Lecture by ISRO Scientist Dr. Alok Taori

The Department of Physics has organized guest lecture on “Opportunities in Space and Atmospheric Sciences” which was delivered by ISRO NRSC Scientist Dr. Alok Taori on 07-12-2023 at Y. M. College, Pune. The session was chaired by In-charge Principal Dr. V. A. Rankhambe and Vice Principals, Faculties and students were present for this lecture.
