Dr. Kamini Dangat and Ms. Hemlata Pisal have been declared Gold Standard trainers by ICMR.

They have undergone a training and standardization workshop on anthropometric measurements organized by the Society for Applied Studies (SAS). As Gold Standard trainers, they will be responsible for training project staff at their respective sites, ensuring uniformity and accuracy in anthropometric measurements across the study.

IRSHA, Mother and Child Health, has been chosen to represent the West Zone of India for the prestigious program "Indian Child Growth Reference Development Research Initiative" by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

The primary objective of the study is to develop growth standards for Indian children aged 0-24 months, having no major biological, socio-behavioral, or economic constraints to growth and development. The secondary objectives are to develop normative neurodevelopmental charts for Indian children aged 0-24 months and to develop growth curves for term Small for Gestational Age (SGA) babies from 0-24 months of age.
