Hostel Committee

As the name of the University (Bharati) reflects itself, our hostel is the same roof shared by students from all over India. The hostel facility is a great convenience to outstation students availing the opportunity of an education. The facility includes both Boys as well as Girls hostels.

Both hostel buildings are located in our beautiful and spacious campus, secured by internal security guards. The Boys Hostel is just 100 meters from the College building, while the Girls Hostel is around 250 meters away from the College.

This hostel facility is also used by other constituent units of BVDU. Out of the total seats available in the hostel, 150 seats are reserved for female students and 50 seats are reserved for male students of the College of Ayurved.

Each student is provided with a table, a chair, a cupboard and a cot. 2-3 students are staying in every room. Both the hostels avail the following listed facilities in common:

  • Good mess to all students in each hostel.
  • Aqua guard filtered drinking water on each floor.
  • Water cooler on each floor.
  • Solar heating system for 24 hours hot water.
  • Special security watchmen for 24 hours
  • Smart card system
  • TV Hall and TT Hall
  • Waiting Room for parents and visitors
  • Adequate and well-maintained toilets and bathrooms
  • Separate rectors for each of the hostels.

The discipline and cleanliness of hostels are looked after by the rectors of each hostel. The rector is not the sole authority for these things. “Discipline and Mess Menu Committee” comprising rectors, students representatives from all colleges as well teacher representatives of each college look after menu, discipline and other matters in a parliamentary manner.
