Department of Kayachikitsa

About Department

Kayachikitsa is the main foundation for core Ayurvedic treatments including both shaman [internal medicine] and shodhan [purification medicine].

The department works towards providing comprehensive training in the application of Ayurvedic principles and treatment modalities for a variety of diseases; endogenous as well as exogenous in origin. Instead of managing only symptoms, the physicians aim at balancing impaired metabolism at the tissue level. All possible efforts are taken to train the students to diagnose and treat contemporary and newer diseases like cancer, HIV- AIDS, Diabetes, Swine Flu, Skin diseases, etc. using Ayurvedic medicines and therapies.
