Research Infrastructure

There is a dedicated common Research lab for Post graduates students. Post Graduate and Doctoral research works are carried out at Departmental laboratories in Pre and para Clinical departments.Literature review remains an important part of research for which our Library (with 20,000 plus books), Digital Library, Triskandha kosha and our Sanskrit Samhita department are a great resource.

In house Pathology and Radiology laboratory under Roga Nidan Department are again important as investigations of patients admitted at IPD departments for Clinical trials are carried out at the same.

Our Rasashastra and Dravya Guna departments have resources for raw material standardization. We have well equipped Quality Control laboratory in our Ayurveda Pharmacy with best techniques of analytical testing of Ayurvedic medicinal drugs. In general, the methods for quality control of herbal medicines involve sensory inspection (macroscopic and microscopic examinations) and analytical inspection using instrumental techniques. Kshara Sutra laboratory in our Shalya Tantra department is unique.

Apart from this we have collaborations and we use infrastructure from sister concerns of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be university) from same and other campuses. We have done works in Collaboration with Pharmacology, Biochemistry and Physiology departments of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be university) Medical College. Central Animal House of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be university) Medical College is a place for carrying out our in vivo experimental studies.

We also have Biotechnology college of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be university) in same campus where we have conducted some collaborative works. IRSHA (Inter-active Research School for Health Affairs) is a dedicated Research institute with research laboratories for Diabetes and Metabolic diseases, Virology, Herbal Medicine, Mother and child Health and Cancer.

The Human resource and laboratories from Bharati Vidyapeeth Poona college of Pharmacy, remains privilege for research works related with Ayurveda Pharmaceutics.
